Austin Lemoine

Austin Lemoine, Firm Principal

Austin Lemoine has a broad background of education and experience. He holds a Ph.D. in operations research from Stanford University, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Louisiana State University. Operations research applies the mathematical sciences and economics to real-world problems.

Mr. Lemoine has sixteen years experience in investment counsel and asset management. Before founding this firm in 1998, he served as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and American Express.

Prior to entering the investment field, his experience also included project management, product development, modeling and simulation, and teaching. He jointly invented and patented an earthquake activated gas valve automatic shutoff device; conducted system modeling and performance analysis for aerospace and engineering firms; and served as a consulting faculty member for Stanford's Operations Research Department, teaching undergraduate, master's and doctoral program courses. That department was merged into the Department of Management Science and Engineering.

Mr. Lemoine served as a principal investigator and project director for the National  Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Army Research Office, Office of Naval Research, National Bureau of Standards, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
